Awards or Certifications

Dr. Alexander Schrott earned his dental degree (Dr. med. dent., magna cum laude) from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany in 2003. He completed his specialty training in Periodontology and a Master of Medical Sciences (MMSc) at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2007. In 2008, he received the prestigious ITI Scholarship and spent a year at the University of Geneva focusing exclusively on implant dentistry.
Following a few years in private practice in Germany, Dr. Schrott returned to Boston to complete the Advanced Standing Program for Dental Educators at Harvard, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).
Dr. Schrott is board-certified by the American Board of Periodontology, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, and a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He has lectured extensively across the U.S., Europe, and Asia on implant therapy and cosmetic periodontal surgery and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. His research on dental implants earned the Balint-Orban Memorial Prize from the American Academy of Periodontology.
