About
Worcester Academy is a leading day and boarding school for grades 6 through 12 and postgraduates, located just 45 minutes from Boston. Founded in 1834, the school offers a dynamic, real-world education in a diverse and inclusive community. Students benefit from small class sizes, strong faculty relationships, and a curriculum that emphasizes curiosity, creativity, and character.
The 71-acre campus in the heart of Worcester provides a vibrant backdrop for learning and growth. Middle School students build confidence and community in a nurturing environment. In the Upper School, students pursue rigorous academics, including 19 honors and 21 AP courses, and receive individualized support through daily Collaborative and Cooperative Learning periods and small advisory groups.
At Worcester Academy, students are known, challenged, and supported as whole individuals. They thrive in classrooms, labs, studios, and on the field—whether exploring STEM, expressing themselves through the arts, or growing through a robust athletic program that fosters leadership, resilience, and excellence.
Worcester Academy graduates leave prepared not just for college, but for lives of purpose and impact.
