Taste 2023.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, at least for those of us who like eating and drinking delicious things made by some of Greater Boston’s best restaurants and bars. Taste, our glamorous annual party, is back for its 15th year on Wednesday, November 5, and tickets are on sale now. The can’t-miss, dress-to-impress event is a celebration of our November issue, which contains the yearly Top 50 Restaurants and Top New Restaurants lists. Taste will take place once again at the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter in South Boston.

The highly subjective, obsessively researched Top 50 list is a collection of our favorite special-occasion spots around town, from old-school fancy to more modern, casual takes on luxury, while the Top New list highlights some of the most exciting recent debuts, so you can expect Taste to be an extra-special occasion. We’re delighted that some spectacular restaurants from each list, and others featured in Boston magazine in the past, will be joining us for the evening, serving up irresistible bites to attendees.

First, try Lê Madeline’s bò lá lốt at Taste—herby minced beef wrapped in betel leaves, smoked, then grilled. Then, make plans to go to the Quincy restaurant for the Việt Cajun crawfish noodles pictured here, one of our favorite things we ate this year. / Photo by Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Take a peek at the Taste 2025 events page for the restaurant lineup, including date-night Portuguese spot Baleia; terrific Greek trifecta Bar Vlaha, Krasi, and Kaia; sushi superstars Uni and Umami Omakase; and south-of-Boston Vietnamese favorite Lê Madeline, among many others. And our events team isn’t letting us spill the beans on all the surprises just yet, but we can tell you a few dishes you’ll see on November 5 (subject to change). Steakhouse stalwart Abe & Louie’s plans to serve a luxurious wagyu steak tartare with potato pavé and black truffle aioli, while seafood stunner Saltie Girl is doing a whole fish-themed spread, including seared tuna with warm rice and nori. Malden Thai siblings Thaiger Den and Phat Thaiger are offering lemongrass chicken satay and torched salmon kang som temaki (hand rolls), respectively, while Brookline Thai favorite Mahaniyom is bringing the heat with spicy smoked duck wraps. From meat pies to risotto to ceviche to a savory crème brûlée, you better bring your appetite.

Your ticket includes unlimited bites—seriously, come hungry—and three drink tickets. Want to get an hour-long head start on the crowds? Spring for the VIP ticket for early entry. Stay tuned for more teasers about what the night entails, and we hope to see you on November 5!
