Snowport, Your Favorite Holiday Pop-Up Market, Is Back at Boston’s Seaport

The waterfront wonderland unveils its most inclusive holiday market yet, starting November 7.

It is indeed (almost) the most wonderful time of the year when your annual pilgrimage to the Seaport for all things sparkly, boozy, and small-business-made begins. Opening this Friday, November 7 and running through Sunday, December 28, the Snowport Holiday Market returns with a 10,000-square-foot food-and-beverage area and more than 125 independent vendors, who’ll be hawking everything from gourmet truffles to sock puppets to dog neckerchiefs. And the best part? It’s truly local and inclusive. This year’s lineup consists of 88 percent BIPOC- and/or women-owned exhibitors, with more than half of those actually hailing right here from New England.

Now let’s get to the holiday fun.

New for 2025

This year’s lineup introduces several new vendors to the holiday market. If your shopping list includes handmade crocheted plushies, stop by Citizens Crochet; for baskets and home décor, visit Creation Jute USA; and for Maine coastal-inspired linen and cotton pieces, check out Starboard & Co. On the food side, newcomers include Lakon Paris with new French pastries and various other plated desserts; That Fat Duck will offer duck-fat fries and poutine; Mood Brew boasts their wellness coffee with adaptogens and nootropics; and South Shore’s own Temperance food truck brings Neapolitan-style pizza.

Returning Favorites

Of course the holly jolly season isn’t complete without some Snowport staples and local favorites. Prepare to indulge in decadent hot chocolate at The Fat Cactus, marvel at the Lobster Nativity Scene’s unabashed New England charm, and let the cheese parade commence: Cheese Wheel Pastas Boston is spinning pasta in giant Parm wheels, Baked Cheese Haus returns with their Swiss-style raclette, and Cheese Louise is once again serving up their gourmet grilled cheeses. Holiday bars are also slinging custom cocktails: Jingle Bar’s Sleigh’d—spiced rum, sage, whipped cream, and edible gold glitter; The Dizzy Dreidl’s It’s A-MAZEL-ing—Absolut vanilla vodka, hibiscus tea, red bull, and lemon; and Betty’s Bar’s the Merry Betty with hornitos, cranberry, San Pellegrino Blood Orange, and a rosemary sprig. And much like last year you can schedule your trip and reserve timed-entry weekend tickets in advance with the Seaport Insider app.

The Fun

Beyond the retail therapy and the hot toddies, be sure to hit the festive activations that come with a few fun twists this year. At the Crafting Corner, the Lego Group will be giving away free (yes, free!) LEGO make-and-take Snowman for you or your kids to take home and build while supplies last. For those only in it for the ‘gram, Presents Place by Citizens is getting a fresh new look, and the 10-foot mistletoe arch is still the go-to spot for a holiday smooch. Plus, every Monday night features live sets from up-and-coming Boston artists as part of Mohegan Music Mondays, running for the duration of the market.

While You’re in the Neighborhood . . .

Since you’re already in the area you might as well explore beyond Snowport and visit the Seaport’s newly-opened restaurants and cafés. Start at Mai, the city’s first French-Japanese restaurant, where Wagyu tenderloin frites arrive with shiso sauce and shoestring fries, there’s also caviar-topped chicken nuggets, and a smoke-bubble cocktail to steal the show—while decorative Labubus peer down from the restaurant’s exposed beams. Then stop by Elephantine Bakery’s new Fort Point location, the second from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, an elegantly appointed spot for breads, pastries, and light breakfast and lunch fare. Their chocolate mousse, served in a seashell dish is decadently memorable. And Cambridge’s casual, hand-pulled noodle eatery Lanner Noodles & Bar recently opened its Seaport outpost too.

Snowport will be open daily until the end of the year (except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day), with extended hours during peak holiday season, starting on December 8.
